Malena Barzilai

Vice President, Government Affairs at Windstream

Malena Barzilai joined Windstream in 2010.  As senior government affairs counsel at the Fortune 500 wireline broadband company, Barzilai develops and advocates Windstream’s policy positions on a wide range of telecom issues—including universal service, intercarrier compensation, competitive access, open internet, broadband adoption, and cybersecurity.  Prior to joining Windstream, Barzilai was senior counsel at the Association of Public Television Stations, working on media issues, and an associate in the Media Practice Group at BakerHostetler in Washington, D.C.  Barzilai holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and a law degree from New York University School of Law.  Before embarking on a law career, Barzilai was a newspaper journalist.
